Storming weekend!

Here we are on our annv,hubby and I enjoying our 25th! The beach is the spot for the occasion! The only sounds are the waves roaring inland. Oh, and the consistant sound of snoring coming from the other room,my beloved! As I hear the sound of the waves and the rain beating on our window,I am reminded of lifes' storms. Yes we've had them! But isn't it  interesting that though a storm is noisy and fierce, it can bring peaceful moments to calmly sit by!  So too I am reminded that my life too can bring peaceful moments amidst the storms! For this I am thankful. God, You are in the boat with me!

Cold days!

 When is spring EVER going to get here?! I know we gotta wait for this season to pass, but oh how I long for the colors and Life of spring! So meanwhile what to do? Besides picking up a book that I have so needed/wanted to finish(Surprised by the Voice of God by Jack Deere),I find many things to fill my days! The grankids! Laughing, screaming, sleeping, snuggling, smiling lil faces! As they pop into my days from time to time, reminding me of energy and life! And now that I have my lil sewing area somewhat organized, I have once again began cutting, sewing, and creating things. Maybe I'll even finish those things deep in my "sewing projects" bin! And of course the kitchen! Baking cookies, an occasional loaf of bread. Let's NOT forget the butter! And cookies!  Ah yes, to munch on a chewy,sweet, choc chip filled cookie! And more frequent cups of homade Chai Tea, which son Jacob now dearly loves! Then there is the daily duties of being a mom and wife that is never ending,tiring at times,but truly an honorable calling!! And if I do not grow weary in this call, I will reap if I faint not! So goes my days and longing for spring to appear!
